Clear skies and moderate northwest winds from the Pacific are driving San Francisco's minimum temperature expectations for September 13 toward the upper 50s to low 60s. Persistent onshore flow moderated by the California Current and coastal upwelling limits overnight radiational cooling, while the absence of a strong marine layer or fog reduces further suppression. Recent model consensus from NOAA-aligned sources shows morning lows near 58°F under breezy WNW conditions, consistent with historical September averages around 56°F yet warmer than record lows near 50°F. Trader emphasis on the 60-61°F bin reflects these stable atmospheric patterns, though any shift in wind strength or timing of clearing could adjust the final minimum.
