Recent National Weather Service forecasts from the Los Angeles/Oxnard office indicate a high temperature near 79–82°F on September 24, driven by morning low clouds and fog from the marine layer giving way to sunny skies under light southwest flow. This aligns with the market’s heaviest weighting on 78–79°F, as onshore winds and September climatology typically cap peaks in the upper 70s to low 80s absent strong offshore warming. Model consensus shows minimal day-to-day variability, with only modest uncertainty tied to exact clearing timing and localized urban heat effects versus coastal stations. Historical September averages near 76°F provide context, but the current ridge-supported pattern supports the slightly elevated consensus range. Updated NWS guidance and hourly observations on the 24th will determine final resolution.
