Paul St-Pierre Plamondon of the Parti Québécois holds the strongest position in the October 5, 2026, Quebec general election, reflecting sustained polling leads for his party amid voter fatigue with the incumbent Coalition Avenir Québec. Christine Fréchette assumed the premiership in April 2026 after winning the CAQ leadership race to succeed François Legault, but her government has struggled with economic pressures, healthcare access, and cost-of-living concerns that have eroded support. Recent seat projections indicate the PQ is favored to secure the most seats, though a majority remains uncertain, while the Liberals under Charles Milliard and smaller parties trail significantly. Traders price these probabilities based on the current campaign dynamics and polling trends heading into the final weeks.
