Incumbent Republican Troy Balderson faces Democrat Jerrad Christian in Ohio’s 12th congressional district general election on November 3, 2026. The solidly Republican seat, rated Safe or Solid Republican by major forecasters, features a strong partisan lean that has delivered consistent GOP victories in recent cycles. Balderson advanced unopposed through the May 2026 primary, while Christian secured the Democratic nomination. With no competitive primary challenges or significant late developments altering the landscape, trader consensus reflects the district’s structural Republican advantage and limited path for Democratic gains absent major shifts in the broader midterm environment.
