Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's ouster of Army Chief of Staff Gen. Randy George on April 2 marked the latest in a series of Pentagon leadership changes, including prior removals of Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. C.Q. Brown, Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Lisa Franchetti, and other senior officers, amid the ongoing U.S. conflict with Iran. With no confirmed announcements, resignations, or credible reports of additional Joint Chiefs departures in the two weeks since George's exit—despite intense scrutiny—traders reflect this stasis in the 92.5% implied probability for "No," viewing the purge as concluded short-term. Late-breaking scandals, health issues, or policy clashes could still prompt another exit before April 30 resolution, though structural confirmation processes for replacements add hurdles.
