Recent polling in Wisconsin's 3rd congressional district shows Democratic nominee Rebecca Cooke ahead of Republican incumbent Derrick Van Orden by narrow margins, including a June 2026 survey placing her at 50% to 46%. The district's competitive profile, reflected in its Cook Partisan Voting Index and close 2024 results, underpins trader positioning. Both candidates have raised substantial funds, with Cooke benefiting from high-profile endorsements and strong cash reserves ahead of the August 11 Democratic primary. Generic congressional ballot tests in the district remain closely divided, while Van Orden's incumbency provides a baseline advantage in a seat viewed as a top Democratic target for the 2026 midterms. These dynamics contribute to the current implied probabilities favoring the Democratic outcome.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
