**Forecast consensus for Beijing on September 19, 2026, centers on a daily maximum of 27–29°C under mostly cloudy to overcast skies with light southerly winds shifting northerly.** Multiple official and local sources, including the China Meteorological Administration (CMA) and regional services, project a high near 27–28°C (low around 19–20°C), consistent with the market’s top probabilities for 29°C (39%), 28°C (25%), and 30°C (19%). These values sit modestly above the 1991–2020 climatological average high of ~25.6°C for the date but well below historical extremes (record 31°C). Key drivers include persistent cloud cover that reduces solar insolation and daytime heating, combined with light winds (<3 on the Beaufort scale) and typical early-autumn synoptic patterns without strong advection of warmer air. Some global models (e.g., GFS-derived) show slightly higher peaks near 29°C under partial clearing, supporting the market tilt toward the upper end of the 27–30°C range. No significant recent shifts—such as rapid model runs indicating intensification or cooling—have altered this outlook in the past 24–48 hours. Resolution will hinge on official CMA station observations; traders appear to price in modest upside uncertainty from variable cloud timing while discounting outliers below 27°C or above 30°C given the stable forecast signal.

The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=zbaa
If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source.
In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket.
To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C.
This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first.
The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
