Recent polling in Texas's 15th congressional district shows Democratic nominee Bobby Pulido leading Republican incumbent Monica De La Cruz by 5 points in an August Texas Southern University survey of likely voters, following a similar July head-to-head result. This has supported trader consensus favoring the Democratic Party at 57% implied probability for the November 3, 2026 general election. The race centers on the redrawn South Texas district spanning the Rio Grande Valley and adjacent rural counties, where De La Cruz won comfortably under prior lines but now faces a competitive matchup amid Democratic primary consolidation behind Pulido and strong fundraising on both sides. Expert ratings from Cook, Inside Elections, and others classify the seat as Lean or Tilt Republican, yet the latest surveys position the contest as closely contested with potential for shifts based on turnout and late-cycle developments.
