Forecast models from sources including the Met Office and regional analyses indicate a highest temperature in Mexico City on September 19 most likely in the 24–26°C range, aligning with trader-implied probabilities favoring 25°C or 26°C+. Persistent cloud cover, light northerly winds, and scattered light rain or drizzle—typical for late rainy season conditions at the city's 2,240 m elevation—limit daytime heating and keep values near the September average high of about 24°C. Recent observations show similar overcast patterns moderating maxima, while model consensus supports a modest chance of brief clearing allowing a peak near or above 26°C. Official station readings, such as from Benito Juárez International Airport, will resolve the market, with any shifts in precipitation timing or wind patterns potentially altering the exact high before resolution.
