Current National Weather Service forecasts and model consensus point to overnight lows in the mid-70s for Austin on September 4, supported by light southerly flow and residual moisture from recent tropical activity that limits radiational cooling. Persistent above-average heat and dew points near 70°F keep minimum temperatures elevated relative to the early-September climatological average of about 71°F, while variable cloud cover and isolated shower chances introduce modest uncertainty in exact overnight cooling rates. Traders weigh these factors against historical variability, where minima have ranged from the upper 50s to upper 70s, with fresh model guidance and NWS updates likely to refine probabilities before resolution.
