Trader sentiment for San Francisco’s September 10 high clusters tightly around 80–83 °F because official National Weather Service and model guidance show modest warming under weakening high pressure, yet the strength and timing of the marine layer remain uncertain. Onshore westerlies and residual low clouds can suppress afternoon heating by several degrees along the immediate coast, while clearer skies and lighter winds farther east allow readings to reach the low 80s. September’s seasonal decline in upwelling and inversion strength favors higher maxima than the 70.5 °F climatological average, but small forecast shifts in wind direction or fog clearance can easily move the daily peak between the two leading bins. Updated model runs and midday observations will be the next key inputs.
