Current National Weather Service and NOAA model consensus for Atlanta on September 3 projects a sunny, high-pressure pattern with light southeast winds and peak temperatures of 95–97°F, well above the 86°F climatological average but within historical extremes for the date. This setup favors the market-leading 96–97°F bin at 48.5% implied probability, as daytime heating under clear skies and moderate humidity supports readings near the upper end of guidance. Recent model runs have shown limited spread, with minimal risk of clouds or showers that could cap the high, though small timing shifts in the thermal maximum could still favor 94–95°F or 98–99°F outcomes. Updated NWS briefings and afternoon observations over the next 48 hours will provide the key data for resolution.
