Latest National Weather Service and model guidance from the GFS and NAM point to a sunny, stable high-pressure regime over north Texas on September 13, supporting maximum temperatures near 100°F with southerly winds of 5–15 mph and minimal cloud cover. This keeps the 100–101°F and 98–99°F bins nearly tied at 41% and 38% implied probability, as small differences in afternoon mixing depth or dew-point advection can shift the peak by 1–2°F. Subsidence warming and strong September insolation favor readings at or above the 90.3°F climatological normal, while historical extremes above 102°F remain unlikely without a sharper ridge. Traders are watching the final 00Z and 12Z model runs plus any NWS forecast discussion updates before resolution.
