Recent forecasts from models such as GFS and ECMWF indicate a high near 23–25°C for Istanbul on September 13, driven by northerly winds advecting cooler air and increasing cloud cover with a chance of light showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon. This setup contrasts with warmer conditions on September 12 and aligns with climatological norms of roughly 24°C maximum for mid-September. Trader consensus reflected in the 50.5% implied probability for 22°C and 34.5% for 23°C incorporates uncertainty in exact peak timing, precipitation timing, and official measurement criteria from the Turkish Meteorological Service, with lower odds on 24°C or higher acknowledging potential cooling effects from sustained northerly flow and reduced insolation.
