Forecast models from agencies including the Met Office and regional services indicate a maximum temperature of 14°C in Wellington on September 12 under stable spring conditions, with partly cloudy skies, southerly winds around 10-15 km/h, and no significant warm advection or blocking highs. This aligns with climatological September averages near 12.5–13°C and recent observational trends showing midday readings climbing to 13°C without exceeding typical spring variability. Trader consensus at 97% for 14°C reflects this tight model agreement and low uncertainty in short-range guidance. A realistic shift could occur only from rapid forecast revisions, such as stronger northerly flow or localized warming not captured in current runs.
