Persistent warm, humid air from a tropical airmass has elevated overnight lows in New York City, with National Weather Service forecasts and observations indicating dew points in the mid-70s°F, light winds, and minimal radiational cooling holding the minimum temperature near 80–81°F on August 7 under an active heat advisory. This aligns with broader August 2026 outlooks showing above-average regional temperatures and no incoming cold front or drier air to promote further drops. Trader consensus, reflected in the 73% implied probability for 80–81°F, centers on these stable atmospheric conditions, while lower bins remain low-probability without model shifts or unexpected boundary-layer changes before dawn.
