Persistent southwest monsoon activity and associated cloud cover, scattered thunderstorms, and elevated humidity are the main factors capping daytime heating in Manila ahead of September 13. Official PAGASA guidance and multiple forecast models indicate highs centered near 30–31 °C, with limited solar insolation and frequent rain chances preventing stronger warming. These conditions align with the market’s leading implied probabilities for 32 °C and 31 °C, while reducing the likelihood of 33 °C or higher readings. Updated model runs and any shifts in monsoon strength or steering patterns over the next 24 hours remain the key variables that could adjust the distribution before the daily maximum is recorded.
