Polymarket traders price a 52.9% implied probability for Eurozone annual HICP inflation exceeding 3.1% in 2026, driven by March 2026 data revised to 2.6% year-over-year—the highest since July 2024—fueled by energy price surges amid Middle East geopolitical tensions. The ECB's March 19 decision held deposit rates at 2% while raising its 2026 headline forecast to 2.6% from 1.9%, citing persistent services and core pressures averaging 2.3%. This upward trajectory from January's 1.7% has shifted sentiment toward higher bins like 2.5–2.7% (21.1%), with upside risks from wage growth and supply shocks outweighing cooling expectations. April flash HICP on April 30 remains a key catalyst.
