**AS maintains a commanding position ahead of Latvia's October 3 Saeima election, with recent August polls showing the party at roughly 23-24% support, well ahead of SV, PRO, LPV, and others clustered in the single digits or low teens.** As the incumbent grouping led by Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs, AS benefits from its status in the caretaker government formed in May after the prior coalition collapsed. This positioning, combined with consistent leads in multiple surveys over the summer, underpins the market's heavy weighting toward AS as the likely plurality winner. The remaining parties trail significantly, reflecting limited momentum shifts in the final weeks before early voting begins. Trader consensus aligns with polling trends showing AS on track for the strongest result in the multi-party contest.
