The 2026 Quebec general election is scheduled to be held no later than October 5, 2026. This market will resolve to the individual who is formally appointed as Premier of Quebec as a result of the specified elections. To count for resolution, the individual must be formally appointed as Premier following the specified elections. Any interim or caretaker head of government will not count toward the resolution of this market. If no such Premier is appointed by June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Government of Quebec; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Paul St-Pierre Plamondon of the Parti Québécois holds the strongest position in trader consensus for Quebec’s next premier, reflecting sustained leads in recent polling averages ahead of the October 5, 2026, general election. The PQ has maintained roughly 29% support among decided voters in late August surveys, ahead of the CAQ under incumbent Premier Christine Fréchette at 24% and the Liberals under Charles Milliard at 22%, with the gap narrowing as the campaign progresses. Fréchette’s incumbency since April 2026 and crossover appeal on economic issues provide a secondary path, though her party trails significantly among francophone voters who determine most ridings. A fragmented vote across five parties capable of winning seats raises the possibility of a minority government or shifts in seat projections, keeping the outcome sensitive to late-campaign developments in key regions.
