Chen Ting-fei holds an 82% implied probability as the leading outcome in the Tainan mayoral race, reflecting her status as the Democratic Progressive Party nominee following a January 2026 primary victory over Lin Chun-hsien by roughly 2.7 points. The Kuomintang's nomination of Legislator Hsieh Lung-chieh as challenger underpins his 17% positioning, with both candidates facing off in the November 28, 2026, local elections in a city where the DPP has maintained long-term control of the mayoralty. A March 2026 poll showed Hsieh narrowing Chen's lead to about 5.4 points amid ongoing voter assessments of party records and local governance priorities. Other listed candidates remain at minimal shares, consistent with the binary contest between the major-party nominees. Upcoming campaign events and further polling could influence trader consensus ahead of election day.
