DPP candidate Lin Kuo-chang holds a lead in trader pricing for the November 28, 2026 Yilan County magistrate race, supported by early 2026 polling that placed him ahead of KMT nominee Wu Tsung-hsien and TPP candidate Chen Wan-hui in head-to-head matchups. Nominations by the major parties have clarified the field, with recent KMT-TPP coordination efforts failing to produce a unified challenger that consistently closes the gap in surveys. The contest remains competitive because Yilan has seen shifts between DPP and KMT control in prior cycles, and voter turnout among key local blocs could still narrow margins. No major late developments have emerged since spring polling, leaving the implied probabilities anchored to these established candidate strengths and coalition dynamics.
