The 2026 contest for Iowa's 1st Congressional District pits Republican incumbent Mariannette Miller-Meeks against Democratic nominee Christina Bohannan in a rematch of their 2024 race, which Miller-Meeks won by just 0.2 percentage points. Both candidates secured their nominations in the June 2 primaries by wide margins, clearing the field for a general election matchup on November 3. The district, encompassing areas around Iowa City and Davenport, carries a narrow Republican lean but has shown Democratic competitiveness in recent cycles. Midterm dynamics, where the opposition party has historically gained ground, combined with recent polling showing Bohannan ahead, have shaped trader assessments. An independent candidate is also on the ballot but is not viewed as a significant factor. These elements underpin the current implied probabilities favoring the Democratic nominee.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
