**Official observations from the National Weather Service at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport recorded a maximum of 102°F on August 28, 2026, during a late-summer heat wave with above-average highs driven by strong high pressure and minimal cloud cover.** This aligns with the market's dominant 100-101°F outcome, reflecting trader consensus around the verified peak within typical measurement and station variations (e.g., Bergstrom vs. other local sites showing 99–102°F). Persistent drought conditions and regional warmth exceeding the 95°F normal supported the range, while model consensus and real-time data left little room for outliers. Scenarios that could challenge resolution include revised station reports, measurement adjustments, or discrepancies in the precise official source used for settlement.
