**Persistent high-pressure ridging over North Texas is driving trader consensus toward a hottest temperature of 100-103°F in Dallas on August 30.** Official National Weather Service forecasts and point matrices from the Fort Worth office, issued August 28–29, consistently project sunny skies with highs near 101–102°F under a strong H5 ridge centered over Oklahoma and North Texas. This setup promotes strong daytime heating through clear conditions, light south winds, and subsidence that suppresses cloud cover and rainfall. The pattern has held steady in recent model runs, with only minor day-to-day adjustments and no major forecast shifts expected before resolution. Above-average temperatures (climatological normal high ~94°F) reflect the ridge’s dominance, which has already produced multiple 100°F+ days. Market-implied odds align closely with this consensus: the 56% on 100–101°F and 20.5% on 102–103°F reflect the narrow expected range around official guidance, while lower probabilities on extremes acknowledge minor uncertainty from exact peak timing or localized variations. Updated NWS briefings and next model cycles remain key near-term catalysts.
