Recent forecasts from models like GFS and ECMWF indicate Milan’s September 11 peak will likely reach the mid-20s °C under stable high pressure, light southwesterly winds, and partly cloudy skies that limit extreme heating while allowing modest diurnal warming in the Po Valley. Official guidance points to an afternoon maximum near 23–24 °C, consistent with early-autumn climatology where daily highs average 22–25 °C. The market’s strong preference for 25 °C (62 % implied probability) reflects traders weighting the possibility of brief clearing or slightly warmer boundary-layer mixing, while lower odds on 26 °C or above capture residual uncertainty in model spread and urban heat-island effects. With the daily maximum typically occurring in the early afternoon, final observations from Milan’s meteorological stations will resolve the market shortly.
