**Forecast consensus positions 23–24°C as the most probable minimum temperature for Shanghai on September 20, 2026.** Multiple numerical weather models and agency outlooks show overnight lows in the 22–23°C range under partly cloudy to clearing skies, with light northeast winds and reduced humidity supporting efficient nocturnal radiative cooling. This aligns with the market-implied probabilities favoring 24°C (43.5%) and 23°C (30.0%), as traders incorporate the latest model runs showing stabilization after recent showers. Key drivers include the transition to clearer conditions on the 20th, which enhances heat loss from the surface compared to the more humid, cloudy pattern earlier in the week. Historical September climatology for Shanghai places typical daily minima near 22–24°C, so current guidance sits close to seasonal norms without extreme deviations. Minor model spread exists around wind direction and cloud cover timing, which could nudge the low by 1°C in either direction, but no major shifts have emerged in the past 48 hours. Updated forecasts from agencies like the China Meteorological Administration or global ensembles will provide the next resolution-relevant data points ahead of the overnight period.

The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=zspd
If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source.
In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket.
To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C.
This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first.
The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
