Parliamentary elections are scheduled to be held in Slovenia on March 22, 2026. This market will resolve to the next individual who is officially elected by the National Assembly (Državni zbor) and sworn in as Prime Minister of Slovenia following the next parliamentary election. To count for resolution, the individual must be formally sworn in. Any interim or caretaker Prime Minister will not count toward the resolution of this market. If no such Prime Minister is sworn in by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Government of Slovenia; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Following Slovenia's March 22 parliamentary election, which produced a hung National Assembly with Freedom Movement (GS) at 29 seats and Slovenian Democratic Party (SDS) at 28, coalition negotiations remain deadlocked as of mid-April 2026. Incumbent Prime Minister Robert Golob's broad unity proposal faced rejections from centre-right parties including New Slovenia-led bloc (9 seats, Jernej Vrtovec), Democrats (6 seats, Anže Logar), and Resni.ca (5 seats), which refuse left-wing Levica alliances. The April 10 election of Resni.ca's Zoran Stevanović as parliament speaker—backed by SDS, NSi, and allies (48 votes)—signals emerging centre-right bloc momentum (SDS + 20 seats), positioning Janša as trader consensus frontrunner at 73.5% implied probability, with Vrtovec and Logar as potential compromises amid stalled talks. President Nataša Pirc Musar will soon award exploratory mandates.
