Following Slovenia's March 22, 2026, parliamentary election, trader consensus on Polymarket prices Janez Janša of the Slovenian Democratic Party (SDS) at 73% to become the next prime minister, reflecting a hung National Assembly where incumbent Robert Golob's Freedom Movement secured 29 seats but struggles in coalition negotiations amid policy sticking points. The April 10 inauguration of the new parliament and election of Zoran Stevanović from the small center-right Resni.ca as speaker signal right-wing leverage, elevating Janša's prior experience and SDS's near-top vote share. Jernej Vrtovec of New Slovenia (12%) emerges as a compromise candidate for a potential center-right majority government, while Golob's odds have fallen to 4.5% as President Nataša Pirc Musar weighs initial mandates. Upcoming votes on government formation could shift probabilities rapidly.
