Craig Hodge holds the lead in the Coquitlam mayoral race ahead of the October 17, 2026, general local election, backed by outgoing mayor Richard Stewart’s endorsement after Stewart’s decision not to seek a sixth term. As a long-serving city councillor first elected in 2011, Hodge benefits from established name recognition, council experience, and early campaign positioning on housing affordability, community amenities, and managed growth. Nominations close on September 11, with the official campaign period beginning September 19. Lower-priced candidates such as Trish Mandewo and Madhavee Inamdar reflect limited public profile or fundraising visibility to date, while the broad field of other declared or potential contenders remains fluid until nomination filings are finalized. Trader consensus prices Hodge’s continuity advantage against the uncertainties typical of an open-seat municipal contest.
