Recent statewide polling shows Democratic nominee Abdul El-Sayed holding a lead over Republican Mike Rogers, with the latest Suffolk University survey placing El-Sayed ahead by 7 points among likely voters. This momentum, driven by stronger support from independents, women, and younger voters, shapes trader views on county-level outcomes. Grand Traverse County, which Rogers carried narrowly in the 2024 Senate race, remains competitive given its mix of suburban and rural voters and historical closeness in presidential and Senate contests. El-Sayed's fundraising edge and primary performance in northern Michigan counties add to the positioning, while Rogers benefits from Republican base turnout and prior local results. The November 3 election timeline leaves room for shifts from late advertising or turnout patterns.
