Kris Mayes holds a strong trader consensus lead in the Arizona attorney general race due to her incumbency advantage and consistent polling edge of roughly five to six points in August surveys, reflecting her prosecutorial record on fentanyl cases and cross-aisle support from former prosecutors. Warren Petersen, who secured the Republican nomination in the July primary by defeating Rodney Glassman, trails at lower implied probability as voters weigh his legislative experience and emphasis on immigration enforcement alongside federal authorities. Recent cross-party backing for Petersen from an outgoing Democratic lawmaker highlights campaign dynamics, while undecided voters and the narrow 2022 precedent keep the contest competitive with six weeks until the November general election.
