Official forecasts from the National Weather Service and other models project an upper-80s daily high for Atlanta on August 29 under partly sunny skies with a 40% chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Easterly winds around 5-10 mph and moderate humidity are expected to moderate surface heating while scattered convection may cap peak readings before they exceed the mid-80s to low-90s. This setup keeps 86-89°F bins closely matched in trader probabilities, consistent with late-August climatology near 87°F and the inherent uncertainty in storm timing and coverage that could shift the observed maximum by a degree or two.
