Persistent high pressure and southerly flow under mostly clear skies are sustaining unseasonable late-summer heat across central Texas, with National Weather Service forecasts for Austin Bergstrom and Mabry both calling for a 99°F high on September 19. Model consensus clusters in the mid-to-upper 90s, though afternoon wind shifts or minor convective debris could trim peak readings by 1–2°F. This narrow spread explains the near-even market split between the 96–97°F and 98–99°F bins, as traders weigh official guidance against private-model variability and historical September maxima that rarely exceed 95°F. Final NWS updates and real-time observations on the 19th will determine resolution.
