This market will resolve based on the results of this election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results reported by the Indian government, specifically the Election Commission of India (ECI) (https://eci.gov.in). If multiple official reports differ, this market will resolve based on the one that includes the greatest number of Assembly Constituencies (ACs).Incumbent DMK alliance holds a commanding trader consensus at 80.5% implied probability to win the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election, driven by multiple pre-poll surveys in early April projecting 160-178 seats for the bloc on 40-43% vote share, bolstered by finalized seat-sharing deals allocating DMK around 175 constituencies and strong welfare scheme delivery under Chief Minister MK Stalin. AIADMK trails at 15.3% amid internal divisions and ambitious manifesto promises like free refrigerators, while actor Vijay's debut TVK garners 4.5% on 17-19% youth vote share but struggles in first-past-the-post dynamics. With single-phase polling set for April 23 and results May 4, recent campaigning focuses on caste arithmetic and anti-incumbency, though no major shifts in the past week.
