Incumbent Republican Jeff Van Drew’s established position in the South Jersey district drives the current trader consensus favoring the Republican nominee. Van Drew, who switched from the Democratic Party years ago, secured re-election in 2024 by roughly 16 points and faces no primary opposition this cycle. The district maintains a modest Republican voter registration edge, and recent primary results confirmed Cape May Mayor Zack Mullock as the Democratic nominee after a multi-candidate contest. With the November general election approaching, these structural advantages and the absence of major recent shifts have kept Republican odds elevated while limiting Democratic upside in the implied probabilities.

A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
