Incumbent Democrat Sean Casten secured a commanding position in Illinois’s 6th Congressional District after decisively winning his March 2026 primary and entering the general election with substantial fundraising and cash-on-hand advantages over Republican nominee Niki Conforti. Multiple forecasters rate the suburban Chicago seat Solid or Safe Democratic, reflecting Casten’s consistent reelection margins since flipping the district in 2018 and its underlying partisan lean in recent cycles. Traders price the Democratic outcome near 96 percent, consistent with incumbency benefits and limited evidence of a late Republican surge. A major national shift, unexpected candidate controversy, or unusually strong GOP turnout in DuPage and Cook County suburbs could still narrow the gap before November 3.

A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
