This market will resolve according to the total precipitation in inches in Seattle between April 1 and April 30, 2026, 11:59PM ET according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The resolution source for this market will be NOAA, specifically the figure for April 2026 when the "Monthly summarized data" for "Seattle City Area" is selected with the variable set to "Precipitation" at the https://www.weather.gov/wrh/climate?wfo=sew link once that figure is finalized for the whole month of April 2026. If the reported data falls exactly between two brackets, this market will resolve to the higher bracket. The resolution source for this market measures precipitation to 2 decimal places (e.g., 1.54), thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving this market. Any revisions to precipitation recorded after data is finalized for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.Trader consensus on Polymarket favors 3-3.5 inches of total April precipitation in Seattle at 47% implied probability, driven by a wetter-than-average start to the month with roughly 1.9 inches recorded at Seattle-Tacoma Airport through April 14—including 1.06 inches on that day alone—exceeding the climatological pace for the normal monthly total of about 3 inches. National Weather Service data shows frontal systems delivering above-normal early rainfall, but NOAA Climate Prediction Center outlooks signal below-average conditions for the Pacific Northwest remainder of April due to developing high-pressure ridging amid ENSO-neutral conditions, capping upside potential and keeping extremes like >5 inches (3%) or <2.5 inches (8.5%) as low-probability tails. Model ensembles and weekly NWS updates through month-end will clarify steering patterns and shower activity influencing final SeaTac measurements.
