A weak frontal system brought early showers and overcast skies to Tokyo on April 16, with current conditions at 13°C and sprinkles, fostering persistent cloud cover and easterly winds of 10-18 mph that cap daytime heating under limited solar insolation. JMA's regional outlook notes cloudy skies with occasional clears and 20% rain chance, aligning with spring norms where April highs average 19°C at Tokyo's official station (WMO 47662), though model runs show divergence that could yield 17-20°C outcomes; updated hourly observations from JMA expected throughout April 17 will sharpen resolution.
