Republican Victoria Spartz's incumbency and the district's established Republican tilt anchor trader consensus at 81% for the GOP nominee ahead of the November 2026 general election. Spartz secured renomination in the May primary with nearly 60% support, while Democrat J.D. Ford, a state senator, won his party's contest. The 5th district encompasses Republican-leaning suburbs north of Indianapolis along with more mixed areas, where prior results showed a comfortable GOP margin. With both nominees set and no major late developments altering the landscape, the implied probability reflects the structural advantages of incumbency and partisan composition over the remaining campaign period.
