In the Nicolet-Bécancour riding, trader pricing reflects a tight three-way contest among the Coalition avenir Québec incumbent Donald Martel, Parti Québécois nominee Jérôme Gagnon, and Parti conservateur du Québec candidate Guillaume Langlois, with the Parti libéral du Québec’s Sophie Martinbeault trailing. August 2026 projections from 338Canada and Qc125 classify the seat as a toss-up, driven by transposed 2022 results showing CAQ strength eroding amid gains for PQ and CPQ amid broader provincial shifts in voter support. The May 2026 PQ nomination of Gagnon, a local economic development official backed by party members, consolidated opposition to the long-serving CAQ incumbent without major subsequent events altering momentum before the October 5 vote. Upcoming candidate nominations and any late polling shifts in Centre-du-Québec could separate the frontrunners.
