In the Saint-François riding, the tight race between Parti Québécois candidate Sylvie Tanguay and incumbent Coalition Avenir Québec MNA Geneviève Hébert reflects a competitive multi-party contest on the new electoral map, with recent provincial polling averages showing the PQ at around 29% and the CAQ closing to 24-27% amid a surge in francophone support. Local projections place PQ support near 30-33% and CAQ around 20-27%, ahead of Liberal Jacqueline Belleau and Québec solidaire's Mia Fréchette, consistent with trader pricing near 42% for the top two contenders. The October 5 election outcome hinges on regional turnout, ongoing campaign dynamics in Estrie, and whether broader shifts toward the CAQ or PQ consolidate in this historically CAQ-leaning seat.
