The resolution source for this market will be information from Wunderground, specifically the highest temperature recorded for all times on this day by the Forecast for the Chicago O'Hare Intl Airport Station once information is finalized, available here: https://www.wunderground.com/history/daily/us/il/chicago/KORD. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the gear icon next to the search bar and switch the Temperature setting between °F and °C. This market can not resolve to "Yes" until all data for this date has been finalized. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Fahrenheit (eg, 21°F). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Any revisions to temperatures recorded after data is finalized for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.National Weather Service forecasts and NOAA ensemble models, including GFS and ECMWF, project Chicago O'Hare highs of 50-58°F on April 11, driving the 99.9% market-implied probability for 46°F or higher amid a dominant high-pressure ridge promoting sunny skies, light winds, and efficient surface heating above the climatological normal of 57°F. Early morning observations at O'Hare already neared 50°F, with peak heating anticipated mid-afternoon under clear conditions and minimal lake influence. While inherent forecast uncertainty exists, realistic challenges like a sudden lake breeze from chilly Lake Michigan waters or isolated convective development could cap temperatures below 46°F, though strong model consensus and stable upper-air patterns render this improbable. Hourly METAR data will track progress toward final resolution from Wunderground's daily high.
